"Showcasing a personal collection of taxidermy, osteology and entomology pieces to illustrate the process of preservation."
-

This work showcases a personal collection of taxidermy, osteology and entomology pieces and furthermore the process of preservation, showing some of the inner-workings involved within each of the different techniques. The setting and theme appropriates museum aesthetic by being displayed in a cabinet of curiosity style as well as adapting the use of labelling to give insight and detail of the specimen explaining where the animal was found, species, gender and date. The pieces themselves tend to challenge feelings around the idea of death as reanimation has been used as a commemoration of their natural beauty and therefore they have been given a second chance to be loved and appreciated.
